More discussion of a possible software fix. Various descriptions but basically all the same ideas:
Every antenna is affected when exposed to various influences such as being touched. The chip/firmware responsible for managing the antenna should monitor the dB drop. Apple press conference scheduled for 10am Pacific time tomorrow. I think it is very clear that there is a drop in reception when you touch the iPhone in a certain way.
